Google’s new e-commerce feature: “Checkout on Google”

Super excited about this nugget I picked up from Kevin Indig‘s recent post on Google’s new e-commerce feature: “Checkout on Google” – https://lnkd.in/ebPzRbEA
This will let customers jump straight to your checkout page from free organic listings – almost as if they’re purchasing directly from the search engine!

More good news: Google has made organic listings trackable in Search Console. Finally, we have the chance to measure, test, and optimize the impact of these listings!

Kevin’s post has me thinking, could this move indicate Google may soon be introducing its own payment system? There’s speculation in the comments that suggests so, and it’s got me intrigued!

I am positively thrilled at the idea of my clients’ products popping up as direct purchase options on Google. The future of e-commerce looks exciting 🎉

But what about you? What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it will be a game-changer, or do you foresee challenges?
